Good Shepherd Lutheran Church is a “communion of saints”, gathered around Jesus Christ.  We are knit together in our work and ministry. We have a strong education ministry to our young people with a new youth associate, Troy Olson, along with several Adult Bible Study programs.  Our Sunday School and VBS touch many area children to teach and get them excited about their involvement in the church ministry.

Good Shepherd has a presence in our community by participating with the Henning CHAT (Community Health and Action Team), the school Backpack Program, Food Shelf the annual Henning Festival and, of course, our Fall Supper.

Our mission projects and offerings help carry the message of Christ beyond our walls to the world, through many programs:  Mission Trips, the fight against World Hunger, Malaria effort, quilting and our Prayer Shawl ministry.

As a community of faith – we reach out to others.  All are welcomed.  Through our gifts and efforts, God’s love touches not only us, but goes through us to help those in need.
